2009 "Winter
Twilight"
The first of the 2009 panels to be installed. It is on display now at The Artery wall. Dickie, whose work appears at Eureka Fine Art Company and at Eureka Thyme galleries, is a mixed water-media landscape painter who usually works with washes on heavy watercolor paper. Working on sign board posed many challenges for her, she said. “I had to learn to paint really big plus use paints much more thickly than I normally do. I really learned a lot and wound up having a blast,” she said. “I read a lot about how to paint murals and preserve them outdoors,” she added. “Then I applied that information as I created ‘Winter Twilight.’” More information about Dickie and the process she went through to create the panel is available on her website, www.caroldickiefineart.com479-253-2827 |
