'Every civilization from past to present has used symbolism to communicate its ideas and ideals. I chose the iconic image of 'The Storyteller' to reflect not just my own cultural background, but that of many others as well. The 'teller of tales' is often considered to be 'a wise one', and has the duty of passing life's wisdoms on to the next generation. There is  storyteller in all of us.'
