Merriweather is livin' easy" $5,200.00 Zeek’s Artery Panel statement: As a watercolor artist, I found painting with acrylics on such a large upright surface to be a real challenge. However, it was a challenge that I enjoyed and from which I learned a great deal. Concerning my panel, and for that matter all my work, when asked “What is your inspiration, or what does this mean or that mean, or why do you paint what you do?” The real answer is, “I don’t know.” I just do the best that I can, try to do better with each piece, and put my work out there with no explanations or apologies. info: ZEEK TAYLOR’S BIO Zeek Taylor is known for his stylized watercolors. Primarily using a dry brush technique, he is able to achieve intricate detail not often found in this medium. He favors transparent paint but sometimes combines the use of gouache and metallic ink in the same painting. Each piece is surrounded by a meticulously hand-rendered border. He has been described as a colorist with a keen sense of pattern. An award winning artist, Taylor studied painting at Arkansas State University and the Memphis College of Art. He is a member of the Eureka Springs Arts Council Executive Committee, serves on the Eureka Springs Artists Registry board of directors, author/editor of the Artists registry newsletter, and editor of ionART magazine.
